Job summary

Dynetek Solutions is seeking a Fiber Lineman to install, maintain, and repair aerial and underground fiber facilities, following NESC and safety standards. You will work as part of a crew, operate bucket trucks, read prints, and ensure high-quality splicing and testing.

Senior level duties include leading crews, performing advanced splicing, mentoring apprentices, and assisting the foreman, with travel across the Atlantic and Gulf regions as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of verifiable fiber optic/telecommunications line construction experience.
• Senior level requires 5+ years with crew leadership.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• CDL Class A or B or ability to obtain.
• OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred for Senior).
• Familiarity with NESC and hazards in energized power zones.
• Ability to read maps, staking sheets, and construction prints.
• Proficiency with fiber splicing and OTDR/OLTS testing equipment.
• First aid, CPR, and pole-top rescue training (where required).

Responsibilities

• Fiber placement and maintenance of aerial and underground fiber.
• Perform fusion and mechanical fiber splicing; terminate and test cables.
• Aerial work including climbing poles and operating bucket trucks.
• Underground work: trenching, HDD, conduit installation, cable pulling.
• Read construction prints and maps to execute builds.
• Test and troubleshoot to verify network integrity.
• Operate and maintain trucks and equipment; daily inspections.
• Follow OSHA/NESC safety standards; daily safety briefings.
• Support restoration efforts as needed.
• Complete daily reports and as-built documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper handling of materials.
