Aerotek is seeking a Laser Operator in Monticello, MN to set up and operate a 15k fiber laser cutting machine (Mazak) in a fully onsite shop. The role requires reading blueprints, loading materials, and maintaining a safe, organized work area.

The position offers a steady, full-time opportunity with a pay range of $23.00-$28.00 per hour, onsite team environment, and potential offsite training to advance skills in laser setup and programming.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience setting up fiber laser systems.
• Experience reading blueprints for laser operations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Willingness to travel for offsite training (~1 week).
• Basic Mazak laser operation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run a 15k fiber laser cutting machine per specs.
• Configure and operate laser cutting machines to meet quality and dimensions.
• Operate load/unload system for material movement.
• Move sheet materials with a forklift.
• Keep machines and work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Read and interpret blueprints for setup and cutting.
• Lift/move materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Participate in offsite training for ~1 week.
