Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Broadband Technician I to perform basic installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers in Bend, OR. You will handle wiring, installation from tap to customer equipment, and basic troubleshooting of video, internet, and home phone services.

The role requires availability for on-call duties, a valid driver's license, and potential travel within the area.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work on-call/standby and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform connects (new connects and reconnects), disconnects, upgrades, downgrades, relocates; install outlets and equipment.
• Install interior and exterior cable wiring from tap to customer equipment for service reception.
• Ensure proper signal levels and picture quality on TV sets; clean job site after installation.
• Record work orders, surveys, referrals, and other required information.
• Promote services and educate customers on usage and add-ons.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment; perform other duties as assigned.
