Job summary

TDS Telecom is hiring a Broadband Technician II in Bend, OR to perform intermediate to complex installations and service changes for residential customers, including FTTH using RFoG and GPON technologies. The role involves underground and aerial construction, troubleshooting, and ensuring service quality.

Eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the Bend warehouse and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of basic telecom experience.
• 6+ months fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must follow attendance guidelines per company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs intermediate and complex installation and service changes for residential customers on Fiber Optic and Coax networks.
• Install, splice, repair and maintain aerial, buried, and/or underground fiber and coax cables and related equipment.
• Use test equipment to identify and repair signal issues and ensure optimal RF and optical reception.
• Ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards and properly record work orders and status.
