Job summary

Centric Services is seeking a Technician - Fiber Installations to perform fiber splicing, residential installations, and on-site troubleshooting for Centric Fiber customers. This field-based role requires daily reporting to the office and travel within Centric communities in Texas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in telecommunications or mass media, plus prior customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in telecommunications or mass media.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables and connections.
• Install residential internet, phone, TV, and cable services.
• Provide customer assistance, education, and information on Centric services, equipment, and products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site service issues.
• On-call support for after-hours and weekend issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on ticketing and scheduling.
