Job summary

Prince Telecom, LLC is seeking an entry-level Fiber Installation Technician in West Des Moines, IA. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot fiber internet and telephone services, while educating customers on usage and maintaining equipment.

The role requires driving responsibilities, overtime and on-call duties as needed, and working in all weather conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone per guidelines.
• Install, setup and configure all equipment.
• Identify and remedy customer-perceived issues.
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
