Job summary

Clearwave Corporation seeks a Fiber Technician to install and service customer equipment, perform wiring tasks, and maintain inventory at customer sites in Opelika, AL. You will troubleshoot from customer devices to the network node and train customers on proper use of equipment.

The role requires a clean driving history, ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and the willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in broadband field preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, or service changes.
• Install/relocate outlets and converters/cable modems.
• Install exposed wiring and connect peripheral equipment.
• Train customers on equipment use and proper safety.
• Troubleshoot signals, diagnose issues from tap to consumer device.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and inventory per policy.
• Ensure compliance with FCC, NESC, OSHA standards.
