Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks a Network Technician / Fiber Engineer to support and maintain fiber optic and telecommunications network infrastructure. The role is hands‑on and involves troubleshooting, fiber testing, equipment installation, maintenance, and service restoration across transport and IP networks.

Ideal candidates will have experience with fiber optic tech, OTDR testing, and a solid background in Ethernet/SONET/IP networking, along with strong documentation and preventive maintenance skills

Qualifications

• Experienced in fiber optic networks and telecom environments.
• Familiar with OTDR testing and fault isolation.
• Proficient with Ethernet, SONET, and IP networking fundamentals.
• Strong maintenance and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain fiber optic and telecom network equipment.
