Job summary

TDS Telecom in Eau Claire, WI is hiring a Drop Installation Technician I to perform fiber drop installation tasks in accordance with safety standards and regulations. The role requires a valid driver's license, DOT eligibility, and the ability to work overtime or various shifts, with relocation constraint within 60 minutes of Eau Claire.

You will help install drop facilities, splice fibers, handle equipment, and complete paperwork while supporting field services teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction labor.
• Transport construction equipment to and from worksite.
• Place new drop facilities and install enclosures (buried and aerial), vaults, pedestals, and handholes.
• Mark and label fiber optic and copper facilities.
• Assist with fiber splicing and repairs.
• Complete related paperwork.
• Provide assistance to field services technicians as needed.
