Lightera in the United States is seeking an Engineer or Scientist to lead development of next generation optical fiber manufacturing. You will invent and mature mechanical system designs for preform or fiber draw, support process design, troubleshoot, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance fiber technologies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a physics/engineering/materials field.
• 3+ years in a highly technical environment with process development/manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in safety initiatives.
• Lead transfer of systems from R&D to production.
• Investigate relation between designed systems and outcomes (quality, speed, yield).
• Develop solutions to enhance throughput and reliability of processes.
• Collaborate with R&D and project teams to design equipment for process optimization.
• Document designs with drawings and supplier specs.
• Create SOPs for production release.
