Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage Fiber & Data Technician to drive installation projects nationwide, including remodels and new store rollouts.

This role requires flexibility for day or night shifts and travel up to 12 weeks at a time, with a strong emphasis on blueprints, fiber splicing, and testing. Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in low-voltage systems, fiber termination, and network deployments, plus a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in low-voltage systems and cabling.
• Strong understanding of fiber optics, network infrastructure, and POS deployment/troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling for new stores (up to 300 copper cables and 8,000–10,000 ft of fiber).
• Perform interior multi‑mode and exterior single‑mode fusion splicing and testing.
• Mount, terminate, and manage IDFs in ceiling spaces.
• Install switches, WAPs, VoIP phones, and related equipment.
• Relocate copper infrastructure during active remodels.
• Coordinate with GC and trades on-site to ensure progress.
• Conduct wireless surveys and cable testing after projects.
• Document test results and reporting to management.
