Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Construction Manager for a 7-month contract with a client, located in Alabama (Auburn, Dothan, Troy, or Enterprise). The role is remote with site travel required. The pay range is $40-$41/hr, negotiable based on experience and other factors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct independent site inspections for fiber construction, including aerial, underground, and customer facilities, ensuring compliance with permits and licensing.
2. Understand fiber installation, splicing, testing, and blueprints.
3. Manage external vendors, develop construction bid packages, and oversee project schedules and permits.
4. Coordinate construction activities with agencies and attend meetings.

Qualifications:

• Fiber construction experience (not tower).
• Knowledge of local and state permitting, pole and conduit licensing.
• Understanding of fiber installation, splicing, and blueprints.
• Basic web infrastructure and Microsoft Office skills.
