Job summary

GTS is seeking a Fiber & Cable Installation Technician (1099) in Trinity, AL. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining fiber and cable services for residential and commercial customers.

No prior industry experience is required, and safe, professional customer interactions are expected. As a contracted technician, you will travel locally to various service locations, complete field notes, and follow all safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening.
• Insured and bonded; own vehicle and equipment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow safety guidelines on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally to service locations daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
