Job summary

GTS is a fiber and cable installation company seeking a Technician in Cullman, AL to handle residential and commercial installations. The role includes disconnects, reconnects, service upgrades and downgrades for single-family homes and multi-dwelling units, with no prior industry experience required.

You will install, repair, test, and maintain fiber and cable systems, document work, and provide friendly customer service during visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• No prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
