Job summary

Armstrong Utilities is seeking a motivated Broadband Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair Internet and telephone services for residential and commercial customers using fiber-optic technology.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma (IT/electronics as a plus), and the ability to obtain BPI certification within 12 months. Expect on-call rotations, hands-on field work, and a comprehensive benefits package from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; advanced IT/electronics education a plus.
• A customer-first approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to obtain/pass BPI certification within 12 months.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to bend, climb, lift over 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot voice and data services using up-to-date equipment.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, digging, and drilling as needed.
• Provide timely paperwork and feedback to help improve services.
• Stay current with trends through training and development.
• Participate in on-call and shift work as required.
