Job summary

Armstrong is seeking a motivated Broadband Technician to install, troubleshoot and repair our fiber-based Internet and telephone services for residential and commercial customers. You will work with advanced fiber-optic technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma; IT/electronics coursework is a plus.
• Customer-first approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to pass BPI certification within 12 months.
• Physical ability to bend, climb, sit, and lift over 50 pounds in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot voice and data services, using the latest test equipment and following safety and installation guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.
• Handle physical tasks like climbing, digging, and drilling as needed, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Provide timely, detailed paperwork and feedback to help improve services.
• Stay ahead of trends through continuous training and development.
• Participate in on-call and shift work as required.
