Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Jonesburg, MO is seeking a Travel Fiber Blowing & Placement Foreman to lead underground fiber optic installation crews across projects nationwide.

You will supervise field crews, ensure safety and quality, read plans, schedule work, and coordinate with customers and inspectors. Travel is required and per diem applies; join a growing broadband construction company committed to timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fiber optic construction experience preferred.
  • Previous foreman or crew-lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of underground and/or aerial fiber construction.
  • Experience operating fiber blowing equipment.
  • Ability to read construction plans and understand fiber routes.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise fiber blowing and placement crews in the field.
  • Perform and oversee fiber optic cable placement using air-blown and traditional methods.
  • Operate and maintain fiber blowing equipment, compressors, winches, and related tools.
  • Ensure proper cable handling, tension, bend radius, slack, and installation practices.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, maps, and fiber placement designs.
  • Coordinate daily work activities and crew assignments.
  • Track production and communicate progress to project management.
  • Identify and resolve field issues that could impact production or schedule.
  • Maintain accurate daily production and material records.
  • Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Train and develop crew members in proper fiber placement techniques.
  • Coordinate with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other field personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure trucks and tools are ready for daily production.
  • Travel to project locations as required.

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Travel Fiber Blowing & Placement Foreman to lead crews performing underground fiber optic installation. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who understands fiber placement, production, safety, and quality—and knows how to keep a crew productive while meeting project schedules.

This is an opportunity to join a growing broadband construction operation with projects across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle fiber construction materials and equipment
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours when project schedules require it
