Job summary

Elliott Davis is seeking a FI Valuation Manager to lead valuation engagements for financial institutions, including M&A purchase accounting and PCAOB audit reviews. This role focuses on complex valuations within the banking sector while offering cross-industry exposure and leadership opportunities.

The Manager will mentor teams, manage day-to-day client relationships, ensure technical accuracy, and support senior leadership in expanding the firm’s consulting footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of valuation experience with a strong focus on Financial Institutions.
• Proven experience at a Top 20 or Big 4 accounting firm; comfortable with public company audit reviews.
• CPA, ASA, CFA, or ABV certification (completed or actively pursuing).
• Strong technical background in ASC 805 and valuation models for financial institutions and bank reporting.
• Proven track record of supervising project teams and coaching staff.
• Excellent communication skills to defend complex valuation assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day FI-specific valuations including CECL, MSR, Core Deposit Intangibles, and FHLB advances.
• Serve as a technical specialist for assurance work, reviewing PCAOB FI client valuations for regulatory scrutiny.
• Review third-party valuation reports and provide detailed technical support to audit teams regarding assumptions and modeling.
• Mentor Seniors and Associates within the FI vertical.
• Act as primary contact for external bank clients undergoing acquisitions or regulatory reviews.
• Assist senior leadership with business development, proposal drafting, and expanding client relationships.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the practice.
