Job Summary:
This position will fill in as the FFA Advisor while someone is on a leave of absence. The stipend would be prorated based on the number of days worked.
The FFA Assistant Advisor role supports our chapter in fostering agricultural education and leadership development among students. Responsibilities include assisting with event coordination, mentoring FFA members in their projects and competitions, and promoting participation in educational programs. The position requires strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and community stakeholders. Evaluation:
The supervisor shall annually evaluate the team leader. Such evaluation shall be reviewed with the team leader and made part of his/her permanent record.

This position is for 11 months, including summer months. Depending on the review of school needs and the evaluation process, the term may be extended annually.

Physical Demands:
The role of FFA Assistant Advisor requires actively engaging in various physical activities essential to supporting our FFA chapter and its members. This includes standing and walking for extended periods during events, field trips, and outdoor activities. Candidates must be capable of lifting and carrying equipment, supplies, and materials related to agricultural education, such as tools and project materials. The position entails working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and participating in agricultural activities alongside students, demonstrating physical stamina and resilience. Travel to events, competitions, and meetings is also expected, involving driving and sitting for extended periods.
Additionally, candidates should be comfortable interacting with livestock and other animals that may be part of FFA projects or activities. Strong manual dexterity is essential for operating agricultural tools and equipment, assisting with demonstrations, and providing hands-on support to students. Awareness of health and safety protocols is crucial to ensure the well-being of students during all activities.
