Job summary

Danny Wimmer Presents is seeking a Festival Design Architect in Los Angeles, CA (hybrid/remote). The role drafts 2D floor plans and 3D renders for festival spaces, drives design from concept to build, and coordinates with creative, operations and sponsorship teams to turn ideas into reality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in live events, strong CAD skills, and a mix of creative and technical abilities. Travel and weekend/holiday onsite work are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in live events or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in architectural/design fields.
• CAD certification is preferred.
• Event Safety Alliance training and/or certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel or be onsite nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Draft 2D floor plans and render 3D models for festival venues and activation areas.
• Lead communications with stakeholders to meet project timelines.
• Document material lists for equipment orders and cost estimates.
• Keep digital drawings accurate, audited against measurements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants for permitting and life safety.
• Maintain an as-built library and update drawings post-event.
• Aim for cost-efficient designs and template standardization.
