Job summary

Insomniac is seeking a CAD Designer to create detailed 2D site plans for festival and concert experiences. You’ll work in-office but may travel on-site to support load-in and placements, reporting to the Senior CAD Designer.

The role requires 5+ years of 2D CAD experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and strong communication. This is not a remote role; willingness to travel and work nights/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in 2D CAD work, ideally in outdoor applications.
• Live event experience a definite asset.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, multi-layered 2D CAD drawings for all experience elements for festivals and concerts.
• Ensure safety standards are maintained on every experience plan.
• Travel to events for on-site site plan development as required.
• Create GEOTAGGED drawings with measurements for placement of site items and be onsite during festival load-in.
