Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an Operations Assistant to support the Hub Manager with daily tasks across the dry fertilizer hub. You will help with loading, equipment maintenance, and data entry while coordinating with Agronomy and Grain teams.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, comfort with heavy equipment, and the ability to multitask in a seasonal environment. Prior experience in facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Operations background preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance routines and facility management is helpful.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong math, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to focus on work despite multiple interruptions.
• Knowledge of fertilizers is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload fertilizer from train cars and semi-trailers into hub compartments.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including pay-loaders, forklifts, and pickup trucks.
• Perform facility and equipment maintenance (cleaning, inspecting, greasing, lubricating, painting; light electrical and carpentry).
• Enter orders into the computer system for outbound loading onto trailers, tender trucks, and spreader carts.
• Organize paperwork and computer documents.
• Communicate with managers, personnel across branches and headquarters, and some customers.
• Perform operations in company computer accounting program.
