Fertilizer Applicator Technician | $28–$32/hr
-A current Wisconsin DATCP pesticide applicator license (Turf & Ornamental, Category 3.0) is required. You should hold it when you apply, or be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
-Working knowledge of turf, weeds, and common lawn pests. Enough to spot problems on a property and explain the fix clearly to customers at each stop.
-Strong attention to detail and the discipline to follow application rates precisely.
-The independence to run a route efficiently with minimal oversight.
-Mechanical aptitude for equipment care and calibration.
-The ability to read and interpret product labels and safety data sheets.
-The physical ability to be on your feet and outdoors all day, lifting and handling product bags and equipment (up to 50 lbs) in all kinds of weather.
-A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
-Comfort with a flexible, season-based schedule. Typical start time is around 7:00 AM.
