Job summary

Illume Fertility is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our collaborative fertility team in Norwalk, CT. This full-time position collaborates with reproductive endocrinologists, nurses, and embryologists to provide comprehensive care for fertility evaluation and treatment.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program with current licensure and DEA registration, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program.
• Current PA or APRN license in the applicable state.
• Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain one). Illume Fertility will assist with DEA registration if needed.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in reproductive endocrinology, infertility, women's health, OB/GYN, or family medicine preferred.
• Pelvic ultrasound experience is preferred but not required; ultrasound training available.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate patients undergoing fertility evaluation and treatment.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Monitor patients throughout fertility treatment cycles.
• Conduct office visits and telehealth appointments.
• Prescribe and manage fertility medications within scope of practice.
• Educate patients regarding fertility diagnoses, treatment options, medications, procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate and monitor ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, FET, and fertility preservation cycles.
• Perform baseline and monitoring pelvic ultrasounds (training available).
• Provide early pregnancy monitoring and follow-up care.
• Assist with fertility procedures, including IUI.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as SIS, HSG, and early pregnancy ultrasounds, as trained.
