Job summary

Duke Fertility Center in Morrisville, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse II to join the caring team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in a busy fertility setting.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, charting, recovery care, and coordinating fertility cycles with the nursing and clerical teams. BSN is encouraged and RN experience in OB/GYN is preferred; weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ADN or Nursing Diploma program.
• If no BSN, enrollment in BSN within 2 years, complete within 7 years.
• 1–2 years RN experience; IV/Venipuncture fertility preferred.
• OB/GYN, L&D or Women’s Health experience prioritized.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take histories, chart and ensure meds are up to date.
• Provide care in recovery/procedure area per orders.
• Meet daily EOC safety and compliance requirements.
• Administer medications and patient treatments.
• Obtain authorizations and complete FMLA paperwork.
• Coordinate fertility cycles via triage, messages, refills.
• Liaise between patients, clinical and clerical teams.
• Follow standards, policies, EOC, JCAHO and infection control.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Perform other related duties; occasional weekends (max 1/month).
