This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year as a medical office receptionist, and 3 years of customer service. You should be computer proficient, able to stay calm under pressure, and work well with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical office receptionist.
• Minimum of 3 years customer service experience.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route patient phone calls.
• Welcome patients and visitors in a professional manner.
• Schedule patient appointments per physician templates and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain accurate patient records including demographic, financial, and insurance data.
• Collect co-pays and patient payments.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing staff and finance for insurance information.
• Provide appointment confirmations and patient charting.
