Job summary

Manus seeks a self-motivated Fermentation Plant Operator to lead the fermentation operations at the Augusta facility. The role covers plant oversight, sampling, data collection, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production processes.

You will coordinate with production, prepare SOPs, maintain equipment, and support maintenance activities while adhering to EH&S policies and safety standards in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years fermentation or related plant operator experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capable in a start-up environment and flexible.
• Familiar with fermentation/downstream processes and microbiological methods.
• Basic PC skills including Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Interface with production to solve fermentation and product isolation problems.
• Execute and evaluate fermentation experiments; prepare equipment per SOPs.
• Collect samples during manufacturing for analytical analysis.
• Prepare batch records and communicate parameter changes to the SME.
• Coordinate day-to-day Fermentation Plant activities and maintenance.
• Prepare SOPs for new processes; assist with maintenance activities.
• Maintain equipment upkeep and schedule maintenance; use tools for minor repairs.
• Adhere to EH&S policies and ensure safety compliance.
• Work schedule may vary and involve shift work as needed.
