Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biotechnology, biochemical/chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience operating microbial fermentation and bench-scale bioreactors.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques, microbial cultivation, and standard lab practices.
• Understanding of fermentation kinetics and core process principles.
• Experience with data analysis tools and DOE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor fermentation in 1–10L bioreactors with proper setup and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot bioreactor systems to maintain performance and product quality.
• Prepare media and inoculum using aseptic techniques per SOPs.
• Design experiments to optimize yield, scalability, and cost-efficient raw materials.
• Document methods and results for reproducibility and transfer.
• Collaborate with upstream, downstream, analytical, and operations teams.
