Job summary

Zoetis, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing technician to operate fermentation and related equipment for bacterial antigen production under cGMP guidelines. You will maintain accurate documentation, perform routine in-process testing, and support daily manufacturing with reliability and safety.

The role requires communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various instruments. Swing shift hours apply, with overtime weekend and holiday work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Job grade entry level commensurate to prior experience.
• Four years of college with a Bachelor's degree in science, or Business Administration, or four years of supervisory experience.
• Undergraduate degree or courses in biological sciences.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operation of fermentors, centrifuge, concentrators, and various filtration equipment.
• Perform routine in-process testing using instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, microscopes, and filter integrity testers.
• Perform media weigh and preparation processes to support fermentation process.
• Prepare and sterilize ancillary equipment and media components to support daily processes.
• Clean, prep and steam sterilize portable tanks used in the production process.
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of manufacturing space and equipment per established procedures.
• Comply with cGMP practices and documentation.
• Perform material handling with hand and powered moving equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance on fermentation and downstream processing equipment.
• Inform Team Leader of shop floor issues and possible solutions.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment.
