Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator to support fermentation and distillation operations. You will learn all facets of the ethanol process, operate DCS, and follow SOPs for start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.

You will keep logs, collect samples, and ensure product quality while coordinating with maintenance and laboratory teams. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a utility vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Learn ethanol process facets including cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, and water treatment.
• Operate DCS and follow SOPs for start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.
• Maintain logs, collect samples, and perform tests to ensure quality.
• Monitor parameters and adjust DCS based on results; keep within limits.
• Coordinate with maintenance and labs; brief incoming shifts.
