Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator to contribute to safe, efficient ethanol production. The role involves learning the full ethanol process, operating the DCS, and adhering to SOPs for start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and batching.

You will keep detailed logs, monitor process parameters, and work with maintenance, laboratory, and production teams. A valid driver’s license and a strong reliability mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Be able to operate a utility vehicle.
• Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and team mindset.
• Experience in industrial production is helpful.
• Understanding of FRA, TTB and state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learn all facets of the ethanol process including cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, thermo oxidizer, centrifuges, grain system, and water treatment.
• Learn and operate DCS for plant control.
• Follow SOPs for start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.
• Stay within operating parameters and notify management of problems.
• Keep accurate and timely logs.
