Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a motivated Module Integration Engineer to join our 2nm GAAFET team, focusing on FEOL integration of RPMG and CTSDB modules. You will bridge unit process development and device performance across lithography, etch, deposition, and physics.

You will collaborate with unit process engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and optimize gate-stack integration for next-generation devices.

Qualifications

• Required Masters in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Physics or closely related field (industry experience can substitute for advanced degree).
• Preference for Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Physics or closely related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required for consideration.
• Knowledge of MOSFET Physics (GAAFET preferred but FinFET also desired): deep understanding of device physics and interfaces.
• Process knowledge: experience with or ability to understand semiconductor processes such as depositions (ALD/CVD), etch, and CMP.
• Programming in Python, R, SQL for automating data extraction and visualization.
• Office software: high level Excel and PowerPoint with VLOOKUP and MATCH.
• Data analysis software: Spotfire, Minitab or similar.

Responsibilities

• ModuleOwnership: support integration and optimization of the RPMG and CTSDB modules to meet target device specifications.
• Process Integration: collaborate with unit process engineers (Etch, CVD, ALD, CMP, Litho) to address risks and optimize control.
• Characterization & Analysis: execute and analyze DOE to evaluate process variations on electrical performance.
• Failure Analysis: use advanced metrology (TEM, SEM, AFM, EDX) to identify root causes and improvements.
• Data Management: leverage statistical software to analyze large datasets and correlate parameters with yield.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: participate in design reviews with Device and Layout teams for manufacturability.
