Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools in Cambridge, Massachusetts seeks a Fall Fencing Aide to support varsity and junior varsity fencing teams. Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics and the Varsity Coach, you will coach, monitor attendance and academics, assist with tryouts, and scout opponents for the varsity team.

This part-time contract runs July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 with a flat-rate payment of $1,040 for the season, paid in two installments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; playing and/or coaching experience required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, Concussion Education Certification, Implicit Bias Education Certification; MIAA Coaches Education Requirements.
• CORI form completion and fingerprinting background check are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support varsity and junior varsity fencing teams.
• Monitor attendance and academics of students in the program.
• Assist with tryouts and scout opponents for the varsity team.
• Support the Program Advisor or Coach to help run a successful athletic program.
