Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools Athletics is seeking a Winter Fencing Advisor to lead the fencing program at CRLS. The role involves coaching, safety oversight, practice planning, and coordination with the Director of Athletics and school administration.

The advisor will supervise staff, adhere to department policies, and support student-athletes in academics and potential scholarships, while coordinating with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification, Online Concussion Education Certification, Online Implicit Bias Education Certification, and fulfillment of the MIAA Coaches Education Requirements, and state requirements.
• CORI Form and fingerprinting background check is a must.

Responsibilities

• Model ethics as per the National Federation Coaches Code of Ethics and supervise athletic conduct.
• Oversee all coaching staff and implement department policies and school handbooks.
• Develop organized practice plans with warm-up and cool-down procedures while ensuring safety.
• Assist Director of Athletics with outreach, fundraising, and student-athlete scholarship efforts.
