Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in the United States (Texas area) seeks a Fence Installer 1 to join a field team. You will prepare jobsites, install and remove fences per spec, and maintain professional conduct with customers under tight deadlines. Training is provided; the role is outdoor and physically demanding.

Qualifications

• Ability to take direction and supervision.
• Motivation to get the job done under heavy workload and tight deadlines.
• Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power washers, post driver, banding equipment, etc.).
• Ability to physically handle heavy fence panels (approx. 50-80 lbs.).
• Must have own transportation.
• Experience operating a forklift and a one-ton truck preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Own safety role for yourself and other team members.
• Safely set up and take down fence and associated products at customer sites.
• Complete operational paperwork (JHA’s reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists, etc.) as directed.
• Take direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager.
• Assist in navigating to sites to ensure the crew arrives safely and promptly.
• Work safely and productively, staying aware of site hazards.
• Maintain clean workplaces and vehicles, free of hazards.
• Act professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary

Position Objective: The Fence Installer 1 position is part of a dynamic team that are industry specialists trained to understand the security, accessibility, and image requirements of our customers. You will take directions to help prepare jobsites and use hand and power tools to prepare, remove and install all types of fences per spec requirements. As a field employee you are the face of the company and we rely on you to maintain a sense of professionalism and focus on customer service, even while under pressure to meet tight deadlines and strict security requirements. This is a physically demanding job that is mostly working outside in various weather conditions. Complete training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Position Responsibilities:

• Own safety role for yourself, and other team members
• Safely set up and taking down fence and associated products at customer sites
• Complete operational paperwork (JHA’s reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists, etc.) as directed
• Take direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager
• Assist in navigating to sites to ensure the crew arrives in the safest and most expedient way possible
• Work in a safe and productive manner, remaining constantly cognizant of site safety
• Ensure workplaces and company vehicles are clean and free of garbage and hazards
• Act in a professional manner with fellow employees and customers
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Other duties as assigned

Base Pay Range: $18.99 - 27.30

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt’s policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):
