Job summary

American Fence Company, Inc. in Casper, Wyoming, is seeking a Rental Fence Installation Helper to assist with installation, removal and repair of rental fence panels. Pay is $22.00–$26.00 per hour based on experience.

A valid driver’s license and solid work ethic are required. You will prepare sites, line up posts, pound posts, install panels, operate basic tools, load and unload materials, and help keep sites safe and organized.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for site prep and panel installation.
• Proficient with air, hand, and power tools to assemble/fix fence components.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs safely during material handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the site area for installation of the fence.
• Locate, understand markings, and follow underground utility safety requirements.
• Align posts using plumb bobs/levels and verify vertical alignment.
• Pound posts into ground using jack hammer, core drill or pounder.
• Attach fence rail supports to posts with hammers/pliers.
• Install privacy panels as required per specifications.
• Install rental fence panels on posts or stands and stabilize with sandbags.
• Repair broken post braces as needed.
• Field repair temporary fence panels for quality assurance.
• Carry panels and materials to site for installation.
• Operate forklift and move materials on site or at branch.
• Remove panels for transport back to branch.
• Inspect panels for damage and tag/charge as needed.
• Complete safety checklist for all equipment prior to use.

We are looking for a Rental Fence Installation Helper that not only wants to have a job but to have a long term career. Pay is $22.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience. This position is responsible for assisting with installation, removal and repairing of rental fence panels. Successful candidates will have demonstrated reliability, integrity, and an excellent work ethic.

Overview of duties:

• Assist in preparing the site area for installation of the fence.
• Locate, understand markings, and follow requirements for underground utility safety prior to pounding posts into ground.
• Align posts, using lines or by sighting, and verify vertical alignment of posts, using plumb bobs or spirit levels.
• Pound posts into ground, asphalt or concrete using jack hammer, core drill and/or a gas/air pounder.
• Attach fence rail supports to posts, using hammers and pliers.
• Install privacy panels as required per specifications.
• Install rental fence panels on posts or stands per customer request and stablize with sandbags or weights as needed.
• Repair broken post braces as needed.
• Field repair temporary fence panels for quality assurance.
• Carry panels and materials to site for installation.
• Operate forklift and attachments for loading and unloading of trucks and moving materials on company property or at job sites.
• Remove rental fence panels from site and safely load on the truck for transportation back to branch.
• Inspect all panels for damage, tag damaged panels and determine if the damages need to be charged back to the customer.
• Inspect and complete safety checklist for all equipment, power tools, and machinery prior to each use.
• Follow company and government safety/health rules and regulations.

Experience Required:

• 1 year heavy construction preferred
• Prior fencing experience preferred

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record (no DUI/DWI). We conduct a thorough background check and drug screen.
