Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fence Installation Driver for Reliable Onsite Services in Salt Lake City, UT. You will deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing with a focus on safety, timeliness, and courteous customer service.

This role involves coordinating with dispatch, loading/unloading, inspecting equipment, and meeting customer project requirements. Some weekend work may be required; CDL preferred and DOT medical card required before starting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to drive day or night.
• 1 year of truck driving experience required (CDL license preferred). DOT medical card required before starting.
• 2 years fencing and/or construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to locate underground utility markings and follow safety requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift (training provided).
• Excellent customer service, communication skills, and positive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
• Work in all weather conditions; some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Safely operate a fencing truck daily; ensure load securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles; ensure safe operation.
• Inspect fence installation tools for safe operation.
• Ensure truck is loaded with necessary equipment/materials; restock as needed.
• Meet with customers to review fencing projects before installation and follow-up during installation.
• Prepare customer job site for fence installation.
• Set fence poles, install fence, and pull fence per customer specs.
• Coordinate the work of the Fence Installation Associate; inspect progress.
• Train Fence Installation Associate on safety and techniques.
• Repair temporary fencing units at job sites as requested.
• Provide onsite moves and pickup/delivery of fencing as requested.
• May operate forklift for loading/unloading; move fencing equipment on company property.
• Other duties as assigned; assist with other Reliable OnSite Services offerings.
