Job description

Hill International is seeking a FEMA Public Assistance Consultant - Monitoring & Compliance Specialist in Los Angeles, California

Job Responsibilities
  1. Monitor FEMA PA-funded projects to verify compliance with applicable federal, state, and municipal regulations.
  2. Design and implement testing procedures to evaluate programmatic and financial compliance.
  3. Prepare comprehensive monitoring reports and communicate findings to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and partner agencies.
  4. Identify potential compliance risks and track issues from identification through resolution.
  5. Review and follow up on corrective action plans, ensuring remediation steps are effectively implemented.
  6. Assist in developing compliance tools, training materials, and technical guidance for stakeholders.
  7. Support audit preparedness and responses to inquiries from FEMA and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
  8. Conduct research to stay current on regulatory updates impacting disaster recovery funding.
  9. Support ad hoc monitoring, reporting, and administrative projects as needed.
Position Details

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$150,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and work location.
