Job description

Job Description: FEMA Program Delivery Specialist

The Disaster Program Delivery Specialist:

  1. Collects, coordinates, and reviews applicant data to determine eligibility and priority of assignments, including audits for completeness, reviews during Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA), exploratory calls, and understanding each applicant’s projects and recovery priorities.
  2. Supports communication with applicants regarding their status by scheduling meetings, tracking follow-ups, coordinating document transmittals through FEMA’s web-based tools, scheduling site inspections, and identifying when technical expertise is needed.
  3. Assists with the claims process by reviewing damage details, scopes of work, and costs, participating in FEMA meetings, evaluating claims, and assisting with final determinations and close-out communications. Conducts exit briefings with applicants.
  4. May conduct basic to moderately complex site inspections to validate damage for the FEMA Public Assistance grant process.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a FEMA Badge, which includes a background investigation.

**Additional Information:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; domestic travel necessary.
  • Minimum 5 years of in-field experience (or 2 years with a bachelor’s degree).
  • Position is temporary, full-time, with 100% travel required.
  • Salary range: $27.30 - $48.30 per hour.
  • No visa sponsorship available.
