The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.
The Freeman Chair in China Studies is a leading source of insight and analysis on China’s evolving political system and the dynamics that impact its domestic policy agenda and external behavior. Our mission is to shape the public policy debate by providing timely and objective analysis that challenges the status quo and informs policymakers, the public, and corporate executives on the most important issues impacting China’s political trajectory. The Freeman Chair is recruiting a Fellow or Senior Fellow who will make substantive contributions to the research agenda of the Program, through writing, research, data/trend analysis, and project development and management. Qualified candidates must possess a background in Chinese politics, international relations, and data analysis.
The salary band for a fellow is $70,000-$110,000; the salary band for a senior fellow is $110,000 to $145,000.
