The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of about 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts addressing international security dynamics worldwide.
The Freeman Chair in China Studies is a leading source of insight and analysis on China’s evolving political system and the factors influencing its domestic policy and external actions. Our mission is to shape public policy debates by providing timely, objective analysis that challenges the status quo and informs policymakers, the public, and corporate leaders on key issues impacting China’s political trajectory. We are recruiting a Fellow or Senior Fellow to contribute substantively to the research agenda through writing, research, data analysis, and project development and management. Candidates should have a background in Chinese politics, international relations, and data analysis.
The salary range for a fellow is $70,000–$110,000; for a senior fellow, it is $110,000–$145,000.
