Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Feedmill Maintenance Person to take on all maintenance duties in the feedmill. The role involves operating and upkeep of machines, training for other tasks, and joining a proactive maintenance team at Pilgrim's facilities.

The position requires lifting up to 85 lbs, willingness to work varying shifts, and ability to work in extreme temperatures. Experience in food production is preferred and background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields is preferred.
• Must have mechanical ability, mechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good hand and eye coordination required.
• Food or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume all duties of Feedmill Maintenance Person.
• Operate and upkeep machines in the Maintenance Dept.
• Be trained to do other jobs in the department.
• Desire to be part of a proactive, motivated maintenance team.
• Must be able to lift 85 lbs. and work at high heights.
• Must be able to do administrative duties and records (PMs, logs, etc.).
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly different shifts.
