Job summary

Pilgrim’s Arcadia is hiring an Afternoon Shift Feed Mill Production Operator. You will operate feed mill systems, pellet and grind ingredients, and help manage production schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift, stand long hours, and good teamwork with growers and drivers. Training is provided, with growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related experience and/or training preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Some skill in computers.
• Some mechanical ability.
• Ability to lift 80-pound bags.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties through the feed mill.
• Pellets all finished feed rotations for the Complex utilizing feed mill control systems both manually and by computer.
• Mixes all finished feed rations for the complex utilizing control system to auto batch and auto route individual runs of feed.
• Grinds all corn for the finished feed rations utilizing feed mill control system to auto grind and auto route the grinding system.
• Follows, assist and determines feed production schedule.
• Maintains automated short-mix machine and ingredients associated with it.
• Performs daily maintenance of Pellet Mills.
• Cleans Pellet Mill Particle Separators on a weekly basis.
• Maintain all records accurately and neatly in accordance to FDA and divisional guidelines.
• Operates and maintains equipment in a safe manner and keeps area and buildings neat, clean and orderly.
• Dispatch and load feed delivery trucks.
• Collects various feed and ingredient samples for FDA and Pilgrim’s compliance.
