Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a feed truck operator to deliver accurate cattle rations along a designated route. You will support herd health by following established feeding schedules and procedures.

Responsibilities include loading the truck with correct feed, unloading at bunks, and maintaining the vehicle. The role may include other duties as assigned and requires adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple notes.
• Ability to perform basic math operations and understand measurements.
• Ability to operate a 10-wheeler truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate a feed truck on an established route to deliver precise feed rations.
• Unload feed into bunks according to supervisor instructions.
• Load truck with required feed proportions and ensure proper proportions for each ration.
• Clean and service the feed truck and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Operates a feed truck to deliver accurate feed rations to cattle along a designated route.Ensuresconsistent,timelyfeeding and supports overall herd health by following established feeding schedules and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Feeds cattle on an established pen route; unloads feed truck contents into the concrete feed bunks according to the Feed Boss' instructions.

Loads feed truck with proper feed proportions according to the individual ration requirements.

Cleans the feed truck; takes the truck to be serviced by Company mechanics.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to managers and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to applycommonsenseunderstanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
