Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, is hiring a Machine Operator for the Rockford, IL plant. The role involves daily equipment operation, material handling, quality assurance, and teamwork to produce high-quality feed products.

The position offers benefits and room for growth in a first-shift schedule. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in manufacturing, and a mechanical aptitude preference.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Farming background a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
• Ensure KNG's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for ingredients and finished products.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies.
