Job summary

CHS Inc. in Gettysburg, SD is seeking a hands-on Feed Mill Operator to help produce livestock feed by operating equipment and supporting daily production.

On-the-job training is provided, with flexible scheduling, potential overtime, and 4-10 hour shifts during peak season or standard 8-4:30. Onsite training, forklift certifications, competitive pay & benefits, and belonging to a large cooperative are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in operations, production, manufacturing and/ or agriculture environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed mill equipment (grinders, mixers, batching/pelleting systems) under general supervision.
• Conduct inspections, monitor parameters and adjust machinery to meet specs and targets.
• Keep records and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Perform routine maintenance and report issues.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area.
• Receive, handle and move feed ingredients and load/unload trucks.
• Prepare and manage loadout, including opening hatches and sampling.
