Job summary

CHS Inc. seeks a hands-on Feed Mill Operator for our Tillamook, OR facility. You’ll operate feed mill equipment, support daily production, and help keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

Training is provided on the job, with a 2nd shift (10am-8:30pm) and 4/10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. The role emphasizes operational knowledge, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operations, production, manufacturing and/or agriculture environments.
• Ability to operate machinery such as conveyors, forklifts and electric hoist.
• Experience in agriculture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed mill equipment (grinders, mixers, batching/pelleting systems) to ensure product quality and safety.
• Receive, handle, and move feed ingredients; load and unload trucks.
• Prepare and manage loadout, including opening hatches, attaching hoses, sampling, and ensuring accurate product delivery.
• Monitor batching/scaling systems and adjust processes to maintain feed quality and production accuracy.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe mill environment through daily housekeeping and spill cleanup.
• Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards to meet daily targets.
