Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Oakwood, TX is seeking a dependable production worker to mix micro ingredients per formulas and stage materials neatly. You will also perform housekeeping, light maintenance, and quality checks while ensuring compliance with FSMA, GMP and company policies.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, the ability to work unsupervised, and effective written and verbal communication. On-the-job training is provided for this evening/weekend shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
• Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
• Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

• Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures and schedule utilizing batching controller, mixing equipment, routing equipment, destination bins and downstream operations.
• Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
• Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs and documents in a neat and orderly manner.
• Monitor and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Use proper operating parameters and equipment settings to effectively deliver a high quality product.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.
• Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
