Job summary

House of Raeford is seeking a Feed Mill Driver to load and deliver feed from the mill to designated grower farms. This role requires safe operation, adherence to FMCSR, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Responsibilities include loading trailers, opening/closing gates, and occasional training to load your own truck while maintaining reliable attendance and compliance with all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Must have a clear MVR
• Must understand Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must be able to train to load own truck (occasionally)
• Must be able to open and close the drop gates or feed trailer compartments

Job description

Objective: The primary responsibility of a Feed Mill Driver is to load and deliver feed from the Feed Mill to the designated grower farms in a safe manner.

Position Functions and Responsibilities:

• Clear understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must have at least 1 year commercial driving experience
• Must have a clear MVR
• Must be able to train to load own truck (occasionally)
• Must be able to open and close the drop gates or feed trailer compartments

Physical Demands and Work environment:

• Work in a warm, dusty environment.
• Work in a cold, moist environment.
• Push and/or Pull heavy objects
• Walk up and down multiple flights of stairs multiple times daily.
• Have no fear of Heights.
• Be able to stoop/bend, balance
• Be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Be able to reach with hands/arms
• Be able to withstand moderate to loud noises
• Be able to sit for extended periods
• Be able to lift/handle up to 50 pounds
• Be physically qualified according to FMCSR
• Be able to work overtime when needed
