Job summary

The Feed Mill Driver at Premier Ag handles loading, delivering and unloading bulk feed from the Brownstown mill to swine barns in the Premier East territory. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency and reliable records of deliveries.

Responsibilities include coordinating with mill operators, maintaining vehicles, keeping logs, responding to service calls, and adhering to USDOT/FMCSR and FSMA regulations while learning mill operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Knowledge of basic commercial truck maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and unload bulk feed from the Brownstown mill to swine barns and facilities.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good appearance of equipment.
• Keep delivery and logbook records up to date.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Respect safety standards and comply with USDOT/FMCSR and FSMA regulations.

Description

The Feed Mill Driver is responsible for the loading, delivery, and unloading of bulk feed from our Brownstown feed mill to our swine barns and facilities in a safe and efficient manner. This position will cover the Premier East territory.

Responsibilities:

• Pickup and delivery of bulk feed, verify loads for accuracy and deliver them as instructed by mill operator
• Responsible for the maintenance and clean appearance of all assigned vehicles and equipment
• Responsible for assisting in keeping the load out area clean
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed
• Assisting in and around the branch/mill location as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate records on delivery and logbooks
• Always maintain safety standards
• Maintain daily communications with his/her supervisor
• Look for opportunities to increase efficiency safelyOperate within the standards set by USDOT and FMCSR
• Comply with FSMA regulations on feed deliveries
• Willingness to learn mill operations
